The 2M58ZSM4x6 heavy duty automatic grinding gouging machine is composed by ZSM4X6 column boom, MW-1300 multi function abrasive band grinding wheel head, SGX5.0 dust collect system & related electric pneumatic control system and so on.

Multi function grind gouge head
1). The head is composed by left/right move structure, vertical rotation structure, horizontal rotation structure, pitch up rotation structure, side swing anti jam structure, head frame, head power assembly, root pass gouging wheel structure, weld pass reinforced abrasive band device(abrasive band contact wheel, tighten & side swing device), pneumatic constant pressure float & lift up device, safety protection and dust collect cover and so on. Head motor is variable frequency motor. Main shaft rotation speed is stepless adjustable.
2) The head left/right move structure is composed by motor, tailor made reducer, transverse slider & guiding rail structure. Its function is to align or correct the grinding central line & equipment central line after the head horizontally rotate 90 degree.
3). Head vertical rotation structure is composed by motor & worm gear reducer, using to adjust the head grinding angle. Rotation angle adjustable range is 0º～90º, suitable to grind at clock 12(6)~3 random position for big diameter work piece.
4). Head horizontal rotation structure is composed by slewing ring & support rack. According to vessel inner/outer longitudinal/circumferential seam situation, it could adjust the head ±90º, make it suitable for diverse working condition for root pass gouging & weld pass reinforcement grinding.
5). Head pitch up rotation structure is composed by branch beam, worm gear reducer, chain sprocket transmission & lockup clamp device and so on. Main function is to suitable for taper work piece or the work piece inclined put.
6). Side swing anti jam structure is composed by parallel sliding structure & related lockup device.During root pass gouging, by situation of the root pass side displacement(when the rotator without anti drift function), the abrasive wheel would move along with the root pass displacement automatically under axial force driving. This structure is using to keep the abrasive wheel from jam & following dangerous situation may be happened. The lockup device is to keep the grinding pass from displacement when working on the fixed position.
7). Grinding wheel & abrasive band are using the same main shaft, power driving system, constant pressure floating & liftup device. Except above, the abrasive band also has tighten wheel, side swing structure(the bank swing horizontally during grinding).Also, the protective cover is different with grinding wheel.
8). The floating mechanism pressure is stepless adjustable under the control system. Grinding pressure could be precisely set. During grinding, the grinding head is under floating situation. Grinding pressure is constant. Under situation of the irregular work piece or abrupt surface change, the contact wheel could keep constant pressure to maintain stable effective grinding.
9). The grinding head could rotate or tilt over at horizontal / vertical direction, able to grinding multi form beveling preparation. Such as twin V beveling. By using abrasive band, it could polish the inner/outer surface of the tank. By using grinding wheel, it could gouge the root pass or grinding the weld pass reinforcement of the tank inner/outer longitudinal/circumferential seam, and twin V beveling preparation of steel plate under flat place. The abrasive band has side swing device, by which could fully using the band , saving production cost.
